Terberg's Journey Through the Isle of Jura: Installing the Jura Distillery's Biomass Plant

When you want a new boiler, you hope it will be easier than this mammoth job. When the world-famous Isle of Jura Distillery wanted a biomass boiler fitted, a team of experts swung into action to make this seemingly impossible task a reality. With the expert help of Ferguson Transport & Shipping, a new temporary ferry route was established to move vehicles and equipment into place.

A new slipway was built, and miles of roads were protected from damage caused by the heavy equipment. Finally, the boiler was delivered, and after the work was completed, everything was removed, allowing the pristine Island of Jura to return to its tranquil norm.

Terberg DTS and Ferguson Transport & Shipping have had a long-standing relationship, so we were delighted to see our Terberg tractors playing an important role in the operation. The Island of Jura holds a special place in our Managing Director’s heart, as this is where he was brought up as a child and still regularly visits to this day.
